Join Bensons for Beds as a Sales Consultant, helping customers find their perfect night's sleep with friendly service, uncapped earning potential and full training.
We’re looking for a motivated and friendly Sales Consultant to join our local store team. In this role you’ll use your product knowledge and natural ability to engage with customers to recommend the right sleep solutions, helping customers achieve better nights’ sleep with the support of our sleepPRO™ technology. We’ll provide full training and ongoing support so you can succeed from day one.
What you’ll be doing
Welcome customers and create a warm, helpful shopping experience from the moment they enter the store.
Understand customer needs through effective questioning and listening, and recommend suitable products to meet those needs.
Demonstrate product features and explain the benefits of different mattresses, beds and sleep accessories, including sleepPRO™ technology.
Aim to achieve and exceed individual sales targets through excellent customer service and effective sales techniques.
Process sales transactions accurately using store systems and handle necessary payment and paperwork.
Maintain store standards by keeping the sales floor clean, well presented and merchandised according to guidelines.
Work flexibly to cover evenings, weekends and bank holidays as these are peak trading times, taking time off in lieu where applicable.
Support your colleagues and contribute to a positive, inclusive team environment.
What we’re dreaming of seeing
Previous experience in a customer-facing sales role is desirable but not essential; we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Confident communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
A customer-first approach with strong listening skills and the ability to spot and act on sales opportunities.
Resilience, adaptability and a ‘can do’ attitude; you’ll be prepared to try new approaches to help the store succeed.
Reliability and flexibility to work a rota that includes peak trading times (evenings, weekends and bank holidays).

Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
Availability for weekend and evening shifts is essential due to peak trading times; time off in lieu and occasional overtime may be offered.
