Control Room Administrator

Main Responsibilities in Control Room Administration
- Monitor and respond to control room systems, alarms, and communication channels in real-time
- Maintain detailed electronic and paper logs, accurately recording all events and incidents
- Coordinate responses to alerts or issues by communicating with internal teams and escalating as necessary
- Manage access control, issuing passes and monitoring visitor and contractor entries and exits
- Produce timely reports for management, highlighting trends or repeat issues
- Conduct routine checks on systems and escalate technical faults to appropriate teams
- Support emergency and incident management procedures, ensuring documentation is accurate and up to date
- Share shift handover information succinctly and clearly with colleagues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security procedures at all times
Essential Skills and Experience for a Control Room Administrator
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities
- Capability to remain calm and methodical under pressure or during critical incidents
- Confident in using IT systems, including MS Office and incident logging tools
- Previous experience in a control room, security operations, or similar environment is desirable but not essential
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with integrity
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working patterns and tasks
- Team player with a proactive and responsible attitude
