As a Sales Consultant in your local store, you will use your product knowledge and natural ability to engage with customers to advise them on Sleep wellness™ and help them find the right sleep products for their needs. You will receive full training and ongoing support in our unique sleepPRO™ technology and in how we deliver excellent customer experiences. This role offers the chance to develop your sales skills, earn uncapped commission, and be part of a friendly, high-performing store team.
Main Responsibilities for Sales Consultant Roles
- Provide friendly, professional advice to customers on mattresses, beds and sleep-related products
- Assess customers’ needs and recommend suitable products, demonstrating product features and benefits
- Achieve individual and store sales targets through effective customer engagement and closing techniques
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, including aftercare and follow-up
- Maintain store presentation to company standards: merchandising, merchandising resets and visual displays
- Process transactions accurately using the till system and complete required sales documentation
- Work flexibly to cover peak trading times including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
- Adhere to company policies and procedures including health and safety and loss prevention
Sales Consultant Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience in a customer-facing or retail sales role is desirable
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to identify sales opportunities and work towards targets in a resilient, professional manner
- Customer-focused with a genuine desire to help people find the right solution
- Flexible approach to working hours to meet store needs and peak trading patterns
- Comfortable using basic IT systems and point-of-sale terminals
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light manual handling tasks
