Accounts Payable Clerk - Temp

Join our Finance team on a temporary basis as an Accounts Payable Clerk and help us keep the business moving smoothly. You’ll bring your organisation skills and enthusiasm to support our busy accounts department, contributing to the success and efficiency of our operations.
What you’ll be doing as an Accounts Payable Clerk (Temp)
- Processing supplier invoices with accuracy, ensuring all information is correct and coded to the right accounts
- Managing the accounts payable inbox, responding to queries and resolving discrepancies efficiently
- Ensuring timely payments to suppliers by following established processes and meeting payment deadlines
- Reconciling supplier statements and tracking outstanding balances
- Collaborating with internal colleagues and suppliers to resolve any invoice or payment queries
- Supporting month-end close procedures by providing invoice and payment details as required
- Assisting with ad hoc finance admin duties as needed to support the wider finance function
What we’re dreaming of seeing in our next Accounts Payable Clerk
- Previous experience in an accounts payable, purchase ledger or finance administration role is ideal
- Strong numerical and organisational skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Confident, clear communication and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a busy team to meet deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and finance systems
- A ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed
