How long have you worked at bensons for beds?

I've been here for around 2 years 6 months now. I was a great opportunity to do something new after being a senior manager in Royal Mail for 39 years. This was an opportunity to test my leaderships skills in a new environment, and I thrive on a challenge

What do you love most about working at bensons for beds?

I love the fact that we are customer focused, and employee focused. For me this is essential to a successful and happy business

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

I love the challenge of working with my team, developing my team to deliver the best rest for them and our customers

What is your bed time routine?

I really enjoy my Gym and Badminton. I always ensure I have done a level of physical activity, I feel it is a great relaxer which helps me prepare for bed

What development have you received whilst working at bensons for beds?

I received an really comprehensive introduction into Bensons, I was given time to adapt to my new job which gave me the opportunity to look at what I could bring to bensons for beds
The biggest change from my previous Job is a better Home and Work life balance, though it is full on Monday to Friday you get to enjoy the weekend which leaves you refreshed for the next week. The money is reflective of what I do, and I feel we have the correct senior managers to ensure bensons for beds continues to thrive

What one piece of advice would you give someone starting a new career with bensons for beds?

Be ready for a fast pace environment but and workplace that supports its people and recognises its people
