Luke Homer
Regional Manager - Region 4 – R4 East & West MidlandsWhy did you decide to join the business?
The chance to sleep on the job! Having worked in a business close to Bensons in a previous job I had seen the opportunities for development, growth and the values and trust the business put in all of its individuals. It ticked all the boxes!
What do you love most about working at bensons for beds?
The people. Across the business we all work collaboratively and within my own regional retail team we have great fun and challenges each day.
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
My son mostly, I don’t really need the 6am alarm! After that it’s the opportunity to drive performance and develop colleagues within my team.
What is your bed time routine?
In bed by 10pm so I start to leave the tech alone from 9pm onwards then set my alarm set for 6am to either hit the gym for an hour or get ahead of work for the day.
What development have you received whilst working at bensons for beds?
Plenty over the 20 years but the opportunity to work in the business through various stores and various roles has been a big part of me staying with the company for so long. Our opportunities never stop so you always have the opportunity to test yourself and take yourself out of your comfort zone.
What one piece of advice would you give someone starting a new career with bensons for beds?
Dive in you won’t regret it. If you are looking for a career in high ticket retail and wont the opportunity to progress then this is the place for you.
